The Lake Odessa Wave, Wednesday, February 17, 1904


Died, Feb. 5th, 1904, at the home of her son Jacob Luscher, of Sebewa Center, 
Mrs. Alma Luscher better known as “Grandma Luscher,”  She was born in 
Switzerland Jan. 3, 1816.  She was united in marriage to Jacob Luscher in 
1839, to this union was born eight children, four surviving her, Randolph, 
Jacob and William Luscher and Lizzie Roe.  In 1854 they came to America and 
lived in Cleveland, Ohio until 1858 when they came to Michigan, where they 
resided until their death.  Mr. Luscher died in Feb. 1883.
