Ionia Standard, 11 Jul 1884

Frank Luscomb, of Lyons, was killed by the morning excursion train at the depot
in that village on the fourth.  The engine was backing when he stepped off the
platform down on to the track.  The tender struck him, knocking him down and
running over him.  Both his legs were cut off.  He lived only a short time.
