She had been in failing health for several months but was taken seriously ill five weeks ago. She was born August 10, 1846 in Alleghany, N.Y., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Morgan. She came to Ionia County in 1871 and has resided practically all of her life in Lyons and vicinity. She was married February 24, 1884 to Henry Luscombe at Carson City. She was a member of the Good Templars of Muir. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Samuel Sage, Ionia; four grandchildren, Mrs. Frances Patrick and Dale Sage of Ionia; Delbert Landon, Grand Rapids, and Ivan Sage of Eaton Rapids. Funeral services will be held from the home in Lyons Saturday afternoon at 2:30. Interment will be at the Lyons cemetery. Subsequent Publication: Monday, July 1, 1935 Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Saphrona Luscombe, widow of Henry Luscombe, who died Thursday evening at her home in Lyons following an illness of five weeks, were held from the home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 with Rev. C. D. McKenzie, pastor of the Lyons Baptist church officiating. Bearers were Homer Gee, Free Bennett, H. Nolty, C. Winright, Ed Brown and Samuel Little. Interment was at Lyons cemetery. Relatives from out of town attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. (illegible) Rapids; and Ivan Sage of Eaton Rapids.
