Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thurs., July 5, 1973
Howard Lutz, 87, known as Dick Lutz of Palo died Wedensday at Ionia Manor 
following an extended illness.

Born April 24, 1886, in Bushnell township he was the son of Edward and Lois 
Lutz and lived all his life in Bushnell township.  He was a retired employee 
from A.O. Smith of Ionia.

In 1913 he was married to Ellen Cole and she died in December of 1972.  He was 
a life member of Pearl Lake lodge F&AM of Sheridan.

Surviving are a son, Orville Lutz of Fenwick and daughter, Ilene Cunningham of 
North Muskegon; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two brothers, 
Harvey Lutz of Pleasant Lake and Merle Lutz of Lansing; sister, Mrs. Iva 
Matheson of Greenville.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 pm at Stebbins funeral home in 
Sheridan under the auspices of the Pearl Lake Masonic lodge.  Interment will 
be at Palo cemetery.
