January 18, 1905 MARY A.LYDY Mary A. Yarger was born in Pennsylvania, Feb. 25, 1829, and was married to Geo. W. Lydy in Ohio on March 21, 1850. Ten years afterwards they moved to Carlton Township, this state and settled on the farm where the resided to the end of their days.To them was born eight children all but one of whom survive them. Their names are as follows; Lucinda, Sarah,Lewis, George,John, Harriet, Samuel and Mary. Harriet having died in 1880. Their lives were one of activity and toil, as is the lot of all who follow the occupation of farming, especially in the pioneer days. Five years ago Mr.Lydy was suddenly stricken and died on February 7, 1900. From that time she made her home with her youngest daughter, Mary Hickerson, till death summon her to her final rest. Her life was ever one of Christian constancy and love for all with whom she associated-a loving and kind mother, who will be missed in the lives of her children, beside whom a large number of grand children and other relatives and friends will mourn her death, which occurred Wednesday, Jan.11th. The funeral was held at Carlton Center, Rev. Mourer of this place officiating. Additional Comments: Carlton Center Cem.
