The Ionia Standard, Friday, July 17, 1908

Myrtle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Lyle, of Easton, died last night at 
nine o’clock in the U.B.A. hospital, Grand Rapids, where she had been ill 
since the twenty-eighth day of February.  The deceased was 28 years of age.  
The remains were brought here this afternoon, accompanied by her brothers, 
James and Harry Lyle, and sister, Anna.  The deceased was a member of the 
Dildine Methodist church, and was a lady greatly esteemed by many friends.  
Funeral Sunday morning at 10:30, at the Dildine church.  Interment in Oak Hill 
cemetery.

There are many Ionia city and county friends of Miss Myrtle B. Lyle of Easton, 
who will be pained to learn of her death which occurred at the U.B.A. hospital 
in Grand Rapids on Thursday night at 9 o’clock.  Deceased was a graduate nurse 
from this hospital, and had been ill since last February.  She was aged 28 
years, and was a lovely and most lovable young woman.  The remains were 
brought to Ionia Fri. afternoon for interment.
