She Practiced Nursing as a Profession. A Loyal Member of O.E.S. Mrs. May Lyman died last Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T. B. Hitch in Jackson. Mrs. Hitch came to see her mother Sunday, May 7, and Mrs. Lyman returned with her to Jackson. She was taken ill with bronchial trouble and passed away the following Saturday morning. Mrs. Lyman came to Lake Odessa twenty years ago from Ionia. She has served in many homes around this village and vicinity as a nurse. She was of a kindly sincere disposition and was very much attached to Lake Odessa as her home. She was a member of the Lake Odessa chapter of Eastern Star and loved its teachings. Her father was a 32nd degree Mason of rank. The deceased moved from a home on Tupper Lake street and since then has lived in the building known as the G.A.R. hall on the ground floor. The funeral was held at the Patients undertaking parlors in Jackson Tuesday afternoon and burial was at Union City. She leaves two daughters besides Mrs. Hitch, at whose home she died, they are, Mrs. G. A. Traham of Toledo, and Mrs. Bert Walsh of Brooklyn, N. Y.
