Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 28 May 1941

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the home of Mrs. 
Emerson Pettit on North Jefferson street for her mother, Mrs. Mary Helen Lyon, 
74, who died Saturday.  Rev. Charles Carnahan of Lakeview officiated, and 
interment was at the Woodard Lake cemetery.

Bearers were all nephews, Claude Hill of Long Lake, Frank Hill of Orleans, Carl 
Hazelton of Grand Rapids, Ralph Clark of Coleman, Charles Crook of Entrican, and 
Willis Brooks of Ionia.
