Apl 9, 1991ri LAKE ODESSA – Edmond “Ed” Lyon, 76, formerly of Lake Odessa died Monday in Bradenton, Fla. He was born Aug. 31, 1914 in Lake Odessa, the son of Sanford and Dorothy Green Lyon. He was graduated from Lake Odessa High School in 1933 and married Eloise Steward in 1934, in Lake Odessa. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He lived in Lake Odessa and Grand Rapids before moving to Florida in 1981. He was a salesman for Pet Supply Co. in Grand Rapids for several years before retiring in 1980. Surviving are his wife Eloise, his son Mike Lyon of Sarasota, Fla., his daughter Marilyn Forney of Grand Rapids; two step-brothers; Jim Lyon of East Lansing and Edward Lyon of Tampa, Fla.; one step-sister Joan Everly of Arlington Heights, Ill.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday from the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa, with the Rev. Keith Laidler officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. A memorial has been established for American Heart Fund, in care of the funeral home.
