Mrs. Dorothy Green Lyon

Wednesday, May 15, was a sad day for many people of this village or near 
communities. The first was Mrs. Dorothy Green Lyon, 45, who died at Pennock 
hospital following an operation for gall stones. 

She was born December 31, 1895, in Hastings, but has lived here most of her 
life. She was married to Sanford Lyon, April 8, 1914.

She is survived by her husband, one son Edmond and her granddaughter of 
Lansing, her mother Mrs. Cora Green, and two sisters Mrs. Ruth Hapeman of 
Lowell and Mrs. Mabel Herron of Saranac.

The funeral will be held at the late home Friday at 2 p.m. with Bible Student 
Hildebrand of Kalamazoo officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside.
