Goldie E. Lyon, 83, of Belding, died Tuesday at her residence.  She was born on
July 16, 1908, in Altona, the daughter of James and Jemima Barnhart Stockton. 
She was married to Herbert F. Lyon on December 22, 1938.  He preceded her in
death in 1965.  She was a member of the First Church of God, Belding.  She was
graduated from the Belding High School in 1928.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including James and Marjorie
Stockton with whom she made her home; and several cousins.  She was preceded in
death by one sister Lola Huey, and two brothers, Stephens and John.

Funeral and committal services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at the First
Church of God, with the Rev. Philip McQueen officiating.  Burial will be in
River Ridge Cemetery, Belding.  The family will be at the Johnson Funeral Home
on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.  A memorial has been established
for the First Church of God, in care of the funeral home.
