The Ionia County News, Thursday, November 3, 1960
Mrs. Carrie S. Lyon, 82, lifelong resident of the Portland area, died Monday 
afternoon, October 24, at the home in Danby township.  She was a member of the 
Danby Cemetery society and a charter member of the Danby Ladies Literary 
society.  

She is survived by several cousins.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27, at the Neller 
Funeral home in Portland with Rev. Robert Treat officiating.  Burial was at 
Danby cemetery.
