The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, June 10, 1965
A former Ionia resident, Gordon L. Lystrup, 56, died Wednesday in an Ypsilanti 
hospital following a short illness.  He was graduated in 1938 from Ionia high 
school and moved to Traverse City and was employed as a shoe salesman.  

He was born in Manistee, January 14, 1909, son of Charles and Christine 
Lystrup and moved to Ionia shortly before entering high school.  Mr. Lystrup 
continued in the shoe business in Ann Arbor where at the time of his death he 
had operated a store 20 years.  During that time he resided in Ypsilanti. 

Surviving are his wife, Grace, two daughters; one son, two grandchildren; 
three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Johnson and Mrs. Joseph Powell of Ionia, and Mrs. 
Edward Schewe of Manistee; also a brother, Harry Lystrup of Saranac.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Ypsilanti.
