Lytle, 97, died September 24 in Lansing. She was born the daughter of William and Mary (Thorn) Ortt on September 15, 1893, in Oakfield Township. She was a life member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Ionia and a member of the Minnie Howard Club. Surviving her are three daughters: Mrs. Ross (Eve) Patterson of Fenwick, Mrs. Kenneth (Arlene) Fancett of Orleans, and Mrs. Robert (Betty) Nowak of Portland; one son, Allen of Minn.; 19 grandchildren, 36, great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Claude and son Howard. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday from the Cook Funeral Home in Ionia, with the Rev. F. Michael Valentine officiating. Burial will be in Saranac Cemetery. The organist will be Mrs. Josephine Barna. Pallbearers include: Robert, James and Ronald Patterson, Michael and Gary Fancett and John Nowak. Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at the Rich St. Chapel. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Christian Church Memorial Fund.
