October 23,2021 LYVERE Christopher Lee LyVere, husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and superhero, spread his wings for the last time on Thursday, October 14, 2021. Chris was born on April 21, 1963, the son of Jack LyVere and Patricia (Hope) Bolyard. Chris attended Ionia High School, Class of 1982. Chris left a permanent mark on Lyons and the world. He had many friends and family who spent time with him and watched him reach for the sky. To know Chris was to love him. Anyone who ever met Chris will never forge his larger-than-life presence. He was one of the great ones, who left behind a legacy that will not soon be forgotten. He was our hero. Chris enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, flying, fishing, telling stories, large bonfires, and University of Michigan football. Chris loved his country. As a carpenter and a man of many skilled trades. The "Tool Man" has helped to build and rebuild structures all across this great nation. He had many injuries, and scars, and all the stories that went with them. We all have memories and experiences with him, and he will be sorely missed forever. Chris was the best of the best. Chris was preceded in death by his dad, Jack LyVere and his Mom, Patricia Bolyard, grandparents, Hamp and Emma LyVere and Leslie and Evelynn Hope and sisters-in-law, Juli Schafer Town and Jessica Anthony. Chris is survived by his wife, Carimae LyVere, his kids, Kasey LyVere, Kristin LyVere and Terry Hampshire siblings, Rhonda (Dave) Butler, Jack (Beth) LyVere, Peggy (Smitty) Tennyson, and Laura (Jeff) Gothrup, beloved Aunt, Sally Floyd, father-in-law, Roman Schafer, Mother-in-law,Dianne (Mark) Anthony, brothers and sisters-in-law, Roman (Pennie) Schafer, Deanne Schafer Fell,John (Nicole) Schafer, Angie (Darvin Cook) Schafer, Marci (Jim) Levering, Amy (James Wheeler)Anthony, Mark Anthony, and Shawn (Pam) Anthony, Nieces and nephews, Josh Champlin, Lindsay (Nikki) Druer, Emma Butler, Matt butler, Korenn Butler, Kara Butler, Alex (Jordan) Roth, Brennen Flannigan,Hannah (Brandon) Mulder, Dalton Tennison, Tiffany (JB) Riks, Shalimar Gothrup, Anthony Town, Tyler (Asia) Town,Jordan (Heather) Town, CJ Lake, Pam Schafer, Jennifer Bagwell, Zakk Fell, Cati Fell, Heather (Ron) Stacey, Briant Zander, JC Schafer, Charlie (Erica) Cook, Makenzie Cook,Dustin (Bobbie) Cook, Amber Hoover, Flannery (Blake) Shaw, Shamus Cook, Machally Schafer, Tyler Levering, Ryan Levering, Grace Anthony, Wyatt Anthony, Ava Anthony and Elly Anthony, and so many more super nieces and nephews. His family is very large and full of love. May the wind always be at your back and the sun upon your face.And may the wings of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the moon and stars. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Dr.Marilyn V.Danielson at 1:00 PM, Wednesday October 20, 2021 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich Street, Ionia, Michigan. The family received friends from 2-8 PM, Tuesday, October 19th at the funeral home.
