David Robert Macauley, age 61, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015.  He was
born on Feb. 8, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Robert and Marian
(Badder) Macauley.

Mr. Macauley graduated from Ionia High School in 1971, and worked for the
Department of Social Services in Detroit, retiring in 2007.  In his youth, he
was a member and acolyte at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ionia.  David had a
gift for gab, keeping in touch with his family and friends.  He loved playing
sports, such as softball and tennis, enjoyed watching sports, and fishing.

Preceding him in death were his parents.  Surviving are his wife of 19 years,
Shirley; children, Christine (Roger) Hogart of Clarkston, and their children,
Harper Hogart and twin boys in April, Andrew David Macauley; step-children,
David (Karrie) McCoy of Heflin, Alabama, and their children, Danny and Andrew
McCoy, Tina McCoy of Denver, Colorado, and her children, Michael and Jason Cox;
siblings, James Todd (Joyce) Macauley, Sally (Carl) VanDomlen, Beth (Bill)
Lewandoski, Bob Macauley, Mark (Jill) Macauley, and Matt (Deb) Macauley; several
nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at Lehman
Funeral Homes, 220 Rich St., Ionia.  The family will receive friends from 10
a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.  Interment will
take place at a later date at Tuttle Cemetery, Ionia.
