MacDonald, at the home on Hackett street, at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Dr. Cogshall of the Methodist church, was largely attended by old-time friends and neighbors. The singing was by Mrs. Eugene Smith and Miss Greta Benedict. The floral testimonials were abundant and beautiful. The bearers were Fred. G. MacDonald, Harry B. MacDonald, William D. MacDonald, and John Coon. Interment was in Oak Hill cemetery. Deceased was a daughter of Peter Millard, and was born in Dundee, Yates county, N.Y., Dec. 13, 1846. She was married in Otisco, Dec. 2, 1865, to James F. MacDonald, who died seven years ago. She had been a resident of Ionia County 46 years, nearly all the time of this city. Four children survive; Fred G., and Harry B., of Chicago; William D. of Cleveland, and Miss May E. of this city. She was one of the good women, faithful to duty and with a heart overflowing with kindness, and her departure brings a feeling of sorrow to many hearts.
