Ionia Sentinel-Standard
Marie MacDonald, 84, formerly of Saranac, died Ssaturday morning at Brookcrest 
Nursing home in Grandville.  She was born Aug. 21, 1896 in Barryton, Mich.  She 
lived in the Saranac area for 50 years.  She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. 
Dorothea Arceo of Grand Rapids; two grandsons, Danard Converse of California and 
Harford Converse of Wyoming, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. Fred Roberts of Evart; one 
granddaughter, Donna O’Toole of Kentwood; 11 great grandchildren; eight great 
great grandchildren; two nephews and many foster children. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 pm at the Lake Funeral Home in 
Saranac with the Rev. Byron Davies officiating.  Burial will be in Saranac 
Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday from 2 to 4 
pm and 7 to 8:30 pm.
