Henry T. MacDonough, long time Ionia businessman, was dead upon arrival at Ionia County Memorial hospital Wednesday morning. He had suffered a heart attack at his place of residence over a downtown store about 11 o'clock. He had been a resident of Ionia more than 40 years, although he was born and raised in Vermont. During the time he resided here he was owner and operator of a photography business. The past several years he also operated the Camera Shop on Ionia's Main street. He was a veteran of World War I and had been active in Ionia American Legion post affairs many years. During his residence in Ionia he served the first ward on the county board of supervisors for many years. He had also been a member of the Hall - Fowler Memorial board. Surviving besides his wife is one son, William. ___________________________________ Monday, January 5, 1970 Sentinel-Standard Requiem high mass was recited by Msgr. Edward Jaworowicz Saturday at SS Peter and Paul church for Henry MacDonough, who died Wednesday. Interment was at Mt. Olivet cemetery. Bearers were Jack Dehn, Max Koss, John Lesky, Ami Agostini, Glenn Harris and Robert Mellinger. Carl Seabrook and Harold Clements folded the flag and the later presented it to Mrs. MacDonough.
