Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 5 Aug 1940

Mrs. Sarah MacGillivray, 66 year old Muir resident, and the wife of George H. 
MacGillivray, died Saturday, August 3, at the St. Lawrence hospital in Lansing.

Born at Highland, 1874, she was married to George H. MacGillivray October 16, 
1895.  For years they ran a drug store in Mt. Pleasant and upon his retirement 
they moved back to Muir where they first had lived.

Surviving are the husband, one son , Shirley D. MacGillivray, of Detroit, and a 
daughter, Mrs. Leonard Sauer, of Lansing.

Funeral services will be held from the residence in Muir Tuesday afternoon at 2 
o’clock.  Rev. Paul L. Stewart will officiate and interment will be held at the 
Muir cemetery.
