Funeral services for George MacGillivray, 87, who died in Bancroft Saturday, 
will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. from his residence in Muir.  He had been at 
the home of his son, Shirley, at the time of his death.

Born April 9, 1870 in Ada, his parents were Mr. and Mrs. Duncan MacGillivray 
and he was married in 1896 to Sarah DeGarmo.  He operated a drugstore in Lyons 
for 18 years.  For sometime, Mr. MacGillivray made his home in Mt. Pleasant and 
he was a life member of Mt. Pleasant F&AM Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his wife, in 1940, and surviving is his son, 
Shirley.

The Rev. Lewis Herrick will officiate at the funeral services and interment 
will be in Oakwood cemetery, Muir.
