Aged Resident Is Taken by Death Monday Morning

Mrs. Elizabeth Macholl, a resident of Ionia for more than a half century, died
at the residence, 322 Forest street, Monday morning at 9:15 following an illness
of about a week.  The cause of her death was given as apoplexy.

Mrs. Macholl, who was 62 years of age, came to Ionia from Germany 52 years ago
in 1873.  She is survived by her husband, Edward Macholl, a son, Louis Macholl,
of Ionia, two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Whitaker of Grand Rapids, and Miss
Catherine Macholl, of Muskegon.  She leaves two brothers, Adam Stahl, of Toledo,
O., and Charles Stahl, of Petoskey.  She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Anna Wild
of Canonsburg, Mich., and Mrs. Mary Moury, of Los Angeles, Cal.

The funeral service will be held from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis
Macholl 1097 West Main street, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Burial will
take place in Highland Park cemetery.
