Ionia Sentinel Standard, 10 May 1930

Louis Macholl, 50, died in Blodgett hospital Saturday morning following an
operation performed Friday afternoon for stomach disorder.  He was born in Ionia
and lived his entire life in the vicinity of West Main Street.  For 25 years he
had been a faithful employe of the Wirtz Coal company.

He leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Macholl, his widow, a daughter, Miss
Hilda Macholl, and a sister, Miss Elizabeth Macholl, the latter of Grand Rapids.

He held memberships in the L.O.O.M. and the German Arbeiter society.

The funeral services for Louis Macholl, who died in Blodgett hospital Saturday
morning, following an operation for stomach disorder, will be held from the
residence, 1097 West Main street, Tuesday afternoon with Dr. Paul L. Stewart
officiating.  The interment will take place in the family lot in the Highland
Park cemetery.
