Funeral service for James G. MacKinnon, 25, of 267 East Washington street, who 
died Saturday morning will be conducted at First Presbyterian church Tuesday at 
2:30 p.m.  The Rev. Wilfred G. Sawyier will officiate and interment will be at 
Elmwood cemetery at Cedar Springs.

He had been employed at Ionia post office since 1956 and was a member of the 
National Association of Letter Carriers.  He was also a member of First 
Presbyterian church and Ionia elks lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; four children, Sarah, Susan, David and Lisa; 
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil MacKinnon of Ionia; two sisters, Mrs. Donald 
Shier of Ionia, and Mrs. Roy Covell of Cedar Springs; and a brother, William 
MacKinnon of Ionia.

A memorial has been established for the cancer fund.  Contributions will be 
accepted at Boynton funeral home.
