Ionia Sentinel Standard, 25 Sep 1971

Death came to William Robert Macklam, Jr., of 144 South Elizabeth street, 
Lyons, Friday in Ionia County Memorial hospital.  Mr. Macklam had been in ill 
health since an accident which had left him paralyzed.  He was born in Mason 
April 4, 1939, the son of William, Sr., and Dorothy Macklam, and was well-known 
in this area as a construction worker.

In November 1967 he was married to Susanne Spicer of rural Lyons.  He his 
survived by his wife, two sons, William III and Otto Allen, and a daughter 
Roberta Jo.

Also surviving are two brothers, Gary of Oscoda and Fred of Muskegon; four 
sisters; Mrs. Dulcye Smith of Lyons; Mrs. Vicki Carpenter of Muir and Toni and 
Ruby Piotrowski of Lyons.  His father, William Macklam, Sr., and mother, Mrs. 
Dorothy Piotrowski, survive, as to the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. 
Victor Miller of Oregon.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 27, at 2 p.m. from the Lyons United 
Methodist church with Rev. Wayne Sparks officiating.  Interment will be in 
Lyons cemetery.  The body will remain at Shaw Rivett funeral home until noon 
Monday.
