Ionia Sentinel Standard, 17 Feb 1954

Mrs. Minnie MacPherson, 77, died at her home on Haynor road Tuesday, February
16, at midnight, after a prolonged illness.  She was born May 4, 1876, in Ionia,
daughter of Joseph and Ellen Young.  She lived near Orleans as a girl and at the
age of 18 was married to William MacPherson and had lived at her present home
for the past 42 years.  She was a member of the Zion E.U.B. church in Ionia and
a member of the W.S.W.S. of the church.

She is survived by three sons, Robert, Donald and Monroe, all of Ionia; 10
grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bert Young of Smyrna and
Roy of Ionia; one sister, Mrs. Jennie Nummer of Lowell.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the
Stone-Kauffman funeral home with the Rev. Roger Stressman officiating.  Burial
will be in the family lot in Easton cemetery.
