Funeral services for Lucille L. MacPherson, 65, who died unexpectedly Tuesday 
evening, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Zion United Methodist church.  Rev. 
George Chaffee will officiate and burial will be in the family plot at Easton 
cemetery.  The family will be at Stone Kauffman funeral home Friday from 3 to 
5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.  A memorial has been established for the church.

She was born August 13, 1909, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Horrocks and 
was a life long resident of the area.  She was preceded in death by her 
husband, Monroe MacPherson Sr., in 1968.

She was a member of Zion United Methodist church, president of the Bethany 
class, charter member and former treasurer of Church Women United, charter 
member of Ionia Blue Star Mothers and its secretary at the time of her death.  
She was also treasurer of the Association of Churches of Ionia.

Surviving are one son, Monroe MacPherson Jr. of Ionia and three grandchildren.

Funeral services with Rev. George Chaffee officiating were Saturday at Zion 
United Methodist church for Mrs. Lucille L. MacPherson who passed away at her 
home last Tuesday evening.  Attending the service as a group were members of 
Blue Star Mothers, district officers of the United Methodist Women and the 
Bethany class.

Bearers were Ralph Horrocks, Jack Horrocks, DeVilo Bishop, John Strickling, 
Paul Trebian and Bruce McPherson.  Organist was Mrs. L. Reisbig Jr.

A luncheon followed the service in the church basement.  Burial was in the 
family plot at Easton cemetery.
