Ionia Sentinel Standard, 25 Nov 1991

Elizabeth S. Madox, 101, of 4979 Nickleplate Road, Ionia, died Saturday evening
at Ionia County Memorial Hospital.  She was born Sept. 2, 1890, in Minneapolis,
the daughter of John and Annie Fox Roberts.  She attended Minneapolis schools. 
She was married to George Maddox in Mason in 1909; he died in 1961.  They moved
to Lyons from Pontiac during 1955.

Surviving is a son, George Maddox of Lyons; a daughter, Mary Lazarus of Ionia;
eight grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and 55 great great grandchildren. 
A son and a brother also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Hull Memorial Chapel, with the
Rev. Paul Carmichael, Lyons Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial will be in
Highland Park Cemetery, Ionia.
