Harold Madison, 94, of Lake, Mich., passed away July 20, 2013 in Ionia. He was 
born March 7, 1919 in Buckley, Mich. He served in the Army and was a World War 
II veteran. Harold married Helen Feb. 14, 1985. He ran his Bait Shop in Lake 
after retiring. He loved to fish. 

Harold is survived by his wife Helen Madison of Lake; children, Herbert Madison 
of Florida, Terry (Lillian) Madison of Mulliken, Margaret (Joseph) Boczar of 
Grand Rapids and Tina (Robin) Lafler of Ionia; stepson, Patrick Sampson of 
Lake; step daughters Vicky Benson of Mecosta and Katherine Wieland of Lansing; 
brother, Jerry (June) Hackey of Muskegon; 14 grandchildren; 27 great 
grandchildren; and 20 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jack and Martin and two 
sisters, Barbara and Jean.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Arrangements by Lake 
Funeral Home of Ionia. Online condolences may be made at
