Esther A Madison passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Sparrow Hospital in 
Lansing.  

Esther was born in Sebewa on November 14, 1944.  The daughter of the late Jose 
and Catalina (Febela) Villanueva.  She was raised in the Sunfield area, and 
attended local schools; graduating from Lakewood High School in 1962.

Esther was employed as a Line Worker at General Tire for 22 years, before 
retiring.  She also worked part time for the State of Michigan, at Bellamy 
Creek Correctional Facility for six years.  Esther enjoyed collecting antiques 
as well as playing cards with her close friends.  Her family was always her 
first priority.  Spending time with them was something she looked forward to.   

Esther is survived by her daughter, Rosa Madison; two stepdaughters, Tina 
(Robin) Lafler and Margaret (Joseph) Boczar; a stepson, Terry (Lillian) 
Madison; two sisters, Maria Ainsworth and Marquita (Jose) Martinez; five 
brothers, James Gonzalez; Alejandro Villanueva, Roberto Villanueva, Luis 
Villanueva and Art Villanueva.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, 
Olivia Herbstreith, and Izzan and Nadias Rodgers.  She was preceded in death by 
her brother, Charles Villanueva.  

Graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Vermontville Michigan 
at 2 p.m. Saturday May 11, 2013.   The family has requested memorial 
contributions be made to the family of Esther A Madison.  Funeral arrangements 
have been entrusted to Daniels Funeral Home in Nashville Michigan.  Following 
the service there will be a luncheon at The Vermontville Opera House.  If you 
would like to join family and friends, a dish to pass is appreciated.
