Evelyn H. Magee, 78, of Saranac died May 25, 1996 at her residence.  She was 
born Feb. 3, 1918 in Keene Twp., the daughter of Clarence and Ethel (Hull) 
Seifried.  She graduated from Saranac High School in 1935 and married Robert 
Magee July 9, 1960 in Saranac.  She was a member of the Moose Lodge.

She is survived by her husband, of Saranac; one son, James (Peggy) Hardy, of 
Saranac; one daughter, Kay (Richard) Cardinal, of Kentwood; sisters: Madeline 
Van Hoose, of Gowen and June Snider, of Greenville; nine grandchildren; and 11 
great-grandchildren.  One brother, Edmond, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Saranac Community Church with 
Rev. Stanley Hagemeyer officiating.  Interment will be in Saranac Cemetery and 
visitation is today from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the 
Lake Funeral Home in Saranac.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia 
Area Hospice or the Saranac Fire Department.  Envelopes are available at the 
funeral home.
