EDWARD A. MAGEE, JR.
funeral services for Edward A. Magee, Jr., will be Saturday at 10 am at SS Peter and
Paul church. Rev. Edward Orlowski will officiate and interment will be at the Saranac
cemetery.

Mr. Magee, 39, who lived at 337 Rich, died Wednesday morning at the Ionia Memorial 
hospital where he had been a patient two weeks.

Born in Flint September 11, 1935, he was the son of Edward and Madeline Morris
Magee. He attended the Flint schools until moving to Saranac with his parents when nine where
he  graduated from the Saranac High School.

He was employed by Mitchell Bentley Corporation 13 years and was at the Ionia State
hospital four years. He was employed as an Ionia fireman at the time of his
illness.

January 20, 1954, he was married to Julia Cusack of Ionia, at the SS Peter and Paul
church and they made their home on Rich street since.

He was a member of SS Peter and Paul church and was active in Boy Scouting in
Ionia.

Surviving besides the wife, Julia, are three sons, Edward III, Gerald and Daniel at
home; three daughters, Mrs.Phillip O'Mara of Ionia, Mary and Catherine at home, one
grandson; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Magee, Sr., of Saranac; four brothers, Michael and
Patrick of Ludington, James and John of Saranac; three sisters, Mrs.Lionel Haskins of Saranac,
Mrs. Terry Bale of Allison and Mrs. Robert Dausman of Saranac.

Parish rosary will be recited Friday at 7 pm at the Leddick funeral home.

A memorial has been established for the Ionia county cancer fund.

The family will be at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.

EDWARD A MAGEE, JR.
Rev. Fr. edward Orlowski officiated at funeral services Saturday at 10 am at SS
Peter and Paul church for Edward A. Magee, Jr., who died Wednesday. Interment was at St.
Anthony's Memorial Gardens at Saranac.

Church organist was Mrs. Daniel Cusack.

Bearers were Charles Regin, Allen Sandborn, Jr., Francis Mileski, Gene Horn, Kenneth
Rusnell and Steve Clarke.

A lunch was prepared and served to the family and friends at the SS Peter and Paul
school cafeteria by the women of the church.
