Gertrude S. Mager, 87, of Saranac went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 
23, 2002.

She was born on July 23, 1914 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of John and Jennie 
(Frick) Steenwyk.  She went on to marry Carl Mager in Detroit, who preceded her 
in death on June 3, 1985.  She was a wonderful grandma.

She is survived by her son, Ted (Pat) Mager of Saranac; daughter, Delores 
Campbell of Belding; brother-in-law, Bill Westra of Florida; five 
grandchildren, Michelle, Mike, Jeff, Tammy and Kit (Larry); and great-grandson, 
Logan.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday at Clarksville Bible Church 
with Rev. Tim Bateman officiating.  Interment Cascade Cemetery.  Visitation 
will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday at Lake 
Funeral Home in Saranac.  Anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution to 
Kent County 4-H fair.  Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
