Magers, 55, of 825 Broas, Belding, died suddenly Friday of an apparent heart attack. He was born May 2, 1914 in Marquette, the son of Samuel and Jessie Magers. January 16, 1937 he was married in Nashville to Ardith Olmstead who survives. He also leaves a daughter Suzann at home; two sons, John and Gerald of Belding; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Elmo Robinson of Los Alamos, N. M., Mrs. Paul Beebe of Cuyahoga Fall, Ohio, Mrs. Thomas Glosser of Uhrichsville, Ohio; a brother, Col. Frederick Magers of Arlington, Va. He was a member of the United Methodist church and Belding Sportsmen’s club. A machinist at Process Equipment Engineering in Belding, he was also a former owner of Magers Auto services in Belding. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Huffman funeral home in Belding. Rev. Ross E. Tracy will officiate and interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Bearers are Harold Wooldridge, Ernest Doty, Jack Curler, Herbert Chickering Sr., Dale Howe and George Babcock.
