Excerpts from Grand Rapids Obituary

                                JOHN MAGIN

Died January 29, 2021-age 90
Born June 1, 1930 to Francis & Victoria Magin & grew up in Belding,MI.
U.S. Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War.
Married to barbara (Malone) for 65 years, She preceded him in death, along with 
his brother Paul & sisters, Rosemary Peck & Blanche Rydel & son-in-law, Daniel 
Kopec.
Survived by his 7 children; Mary (Brian) Wisinski, Sherry (Kip) Engen, Deb 
Datema, Kathy Kopec, Sue Magin, Tim (Morira) Magin & Duffy (Jill) Magin, 15 
grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren & many nieces & nephews.
John was a tool maker by trade. Worked at General Motors for 38 years.
While raising 7 kids, also helped his wife with her 50 year Tupperware business, 
packing & delivering & being "chief cook & bottle washer!"
Often the life of the party, telling stories & jokes.
Member of St.James Catholic Church where he offered many services, reading at 
Mass to cooking at church fish fries or pancake breakfasts.
Family would like to give a special thanks to Covenant Living of the Great Lakes 
& Spectrum Hospice for all of the care & comfort.
A funeral Mass will be Saturday, February 6, at 11:00 Holy Spirit Catholic 
church.
Visitation with the family one hour before interment at St.Patricks Cemetery, 
Parnell.
Donations may be made in John's honor, in honor of his beloved great-grandsons, 
Sawyer & Daxton, to Project Alive who fund research for Hunter's Syndrome at
