She was born on Oct. 24, 1943, in Ionia, Michigan, the daughter of Harold and Virginia (Mason) Graham. Phyllis loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. She sang at the Ionia Free Fair grand stand for one year, and for three years with the Grand Rapids College Chorale, as well as in church. Phyllis was a good Christian woman and had a lot of love for her Lord, her family, friends and church. Her greatest desire in life was that everyone be saved and on his/her way to Heaven. She will be greatly missed. Preceding her in death were her parents, Harold L. and Virginia R. Graham, and brothers Charles and George. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Lester Garwin Mahlich, who she loved very much. Phyllis had four children with her husband, Fred Larsen: Christine (Donald) Videan, Jeannie (Tom) Kieffer, Andy (Robin) Larsen, and Bill Larsen; she had 11 grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at Lehman Funeral Homes, 220 Rich St., Ionia. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at Ashley Baptist Church, 10463 W. Belding Road, Belding, with Pastor David Oliver presiding.
