She was born Jan. 18, 1922, in Day Township Stanton, the daughter of Morris and Mary Mosier Krum. Jessie was married at Stanton on March 7, 1942 to Chester E. Main. Together they were married for 60 years and shared many loves and interests together. With his active involvement in the Greenville Optimist and the TPA and Gibson Retirees, she assisted him with these activities. Together they loved to travel and camp, hunt, fish and look for mushrooms and she loved to play bingo. She was employed at Federal-Mogul Corp. for 29 years and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary of Cleveland Wolverton Post 3794. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family. Jessie was preceded in death by her husband, Chet, on April 25, 2003; son-in-law, Gerald Mulder, on Nov. 2, 2003; brothers, George, Keith, Max and Merle Krum; sister, Freida Cesar; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Grace Bush, Carrie Anderson, Lucy Smith, Effie Cole, Laura Martin, Arnold and Purl Main, Joyce Krum, Glen Anderson, Don Herbison, Cleo Krum, Cecilia Main. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Mulder of Cadillac, Beverly and William Davis of Greenville; grandchildren, Cathy and Marco Gamaggio of Grand Rapids, Christine and Luciano Meira of Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic, Jeff Mulder of Cadillac; brother, Earl and Ruth Krum of Stanton; sister, Juna Herbison of Stanton; in-laws, Carol and Don Cesar of Stanton, Margaret Leach of Lansing, Pat Cadaret of Stanton, Lela Main of Saginaw, Oscar Main and special friend, Verna Alfano of Saginaw; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with the Rev. Frank Marsh officiating. Burial is in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Optimist Special Education Camp for Camp Wah Wah Tay See or the Flat River Community Library.
