The accident happened on the John Houserman farm where young Majenski and a companion , Earnest Moe, were engaged in buzzing wood. Moe stated after the accident that he hardly knew how it happened, his attention being directed elsewhere as Majenski slipped and fell into the cruel teeth of the saw. It is likely the slippery condition of the ground, due to melting snow, was responsible for the tragedy. The unfortunate young man was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Majenski, pioneer residents of the township. Besides the aged parents, he leaves two brothers and a sister. The funeral of the young man will take place from the church of SS. Peter and Paul Friday morning at 9:30. Rev. Father Hugh D. McCarthy will officiate at the requiem High Mass. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/ionia/obits/m/majenski19374nob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/mifiles/ File size: 1.6 Kb
