AND MRS. HARVEY TUPPER PASSED AWAY FRIDAY; FUNERAL SUNDAY. ------------- Mrs. Iris Tupper-Makley, 27 daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Tupper, died in Lake Odessa hospital Friday morning following several months of illness. She received treatment at the University of Michigan hospital in Ann Arbor several weeks ago, and was brought here to the home of her sister Mrs. William Groff two weeks ago. Her condition was considered excellent until Thursday, when she suffered a relapse and was rushed to the Lake Odessa hospital, where all efforts to save her life were unavailing. Mrs. Makley was born in Lake Odessa and spent a part of her school days here. Her parents moved to Lansing while she was in the sixth grade, and she graduated from Central high school there. In 1926 she was married to Karl Makley, who survives her. She also leaves one son, Dale, six; her parents Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Tupper of Lansing; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Groff, a teacher in the local schools, and Opal Smith of Lansing, and two brothers, Leo Tupper and Dewey Tupper, both of Lansing. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 from the home of Mrs. Groff, with burial n Lakeside cemetery.
