The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, March 15, 1937
Following funeral services at Sacred Heart church, Grand Rapids, the body of 
Mrs. Stella Malewitz, 70, was brought to Ionia for burial in Mt. Olivet 
cemetery Monday where a son Frank, drowned in Grand river here 30 years ago, 
is buried.  Surviving her are the husband Frank; four sons, Lou and William of 
Jackson, Leo and Joseph of Grand Rapids; four daughters, Mrs. Claude 
VanderMolen, Mrs. George Rooney and Miss Betty Malewitz of Grand Rapids and 
Mrs. Thomas Lang of Flint; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  Another 
son, Bernard, Union high school football star, died several years ago.
