John F. Malieswski, aged 78, of Muir, passed away Sept. 29, 2009 in Lansing.

He was born Aug. 10, 1931 in Cambridge, Mass., the son of Charles and Frances 
(Orbun) Malieswski Sr. He married Helen Fletcher Dec. 29, 1993 in Florida. John 
worked for Honeywell in Massachusetts. He loved to fish.

He is survived by his loving wife Helen Malieswski of Muir; sons John 
Malieswski Jr. and Steven Malieswski; daughter Susan Quirk; stepson Ronald 
(Carol) Fletcher; brothers Robert (Mary Lou) Malieswski and Charles (Evelyn) 
Malieswski; many grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and 
nephews.

John was preceded in death by his father Charles Malieswski, his mother Frances 
(Orbun) Malieswski and his twin sister Barbara Stankiewicz.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 2, 2009 at St. John’s 
Lutheran Church in Ionia with Pastor David Bogda officiating. Funeral 
arrangements by Lake Funeral Home in Muir. At the family’s request no flowers 
but you may make memorial contributions to Lutheran Church or the charity of
