The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, June, 1996

June Elaine Malokofsky, 68, of Ionia died Monday, June 10, 1996 at her home.  
She was born July 3, 1927 in Ionia and was a lifetime resident of Ionia.  She 
graduated from Ionia High School and married Kenneth Carl Malokofsky Aug. 4, 
1945.  She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Ionia, a member and 
past president of the Tuxis Class, held various positions on the Church 
Diaconate Board, had been financial secretary of the church and had been the 
head of the church decorating committee.

She is survived by two daughters: Kay (Bruce) Boroff, of Ionia and Brenda 
(Fiancée Dennis Burger) Palmatter, of Wyoming, Mich.; two sons, Kenneth 
(Jacqueline) Malokofsky, of Lowell and Brian (Brenda) Malokofsky, of Ionia; 
nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one sister, Beverly (Jack) 
Joslyn, of Ionia; two sisters-in-law: Josephine VerPorter and Margaret Dean, 
both of Ionia; and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her 
husband in 1983, and her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church 
with Rev. James Bennett officiating.   Interment will be in Highland Park 
Cemetery and visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 
Wednesday at the Cook Funeral Home in Ionia.  Memorial contributions may be 
made to the First Baptist Church in Ionia, the American Cancer Society, or the 
Ionia Area Hospice.  Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
