Malokofsky, 78, died Wednesday at his home in South Ionia following an illness of the past year. He was born July 13, 1884 in Lemont, Ill., the son of Henry and Effie Malokofsky. In 1922 he was married to Electa Smith and had lived in South Ionia 48 years. Mr. Malokofsky was formerly employed at Ionia State Hospital and for many years operated an oil station and grocery in South Ionia. He retired two years ago from Ionia Manufacturing company. Survivors include his wife, Electa; a son, Kenneth Malokofsky; three daughters, Mrs. Norbert VerPorter, Mrs. Roy Ward and Mrs. George W. Dean, all of Ionia; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Henry Malokofsky of Ionia; a sister, Mrs. Clara Austin of Illinois. Two sons, Clinton and Emery, preceded him in death. The body will be at the residence until Saturday noon when it will be removed to the First Baptist church where service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. John Tennyson will officiate and burial will be at Highland Park cemetery. Prayer service will be held at the residence Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Arrangements were made by Stone-Kauffman funeral home.
