Sentinel-Std. - Friday, April 22, 1983

IONIA- Kenneth C. Malokofsky, 57, Ionia, died Thursday morning at St. Mary's 
Hospital, Grand Rapids.

He was born in Ionia, June 4, 1925, the son of Carl and Electa Smith 
Malokofsky.

He lived his entire life in Ionia and attended schools here. He was married 
to June Lyle, August 4, 1945, in Ionia. They made their home at their 
present residence on E. Riverside Dr. for most of their married life.

He worked at Peschke Packing  Co. for many years and then Houghton Beef 
Packing. 

He was also employed by the State of Michigan as a state meat inspector and 
for the past two years for the U.S. government as a federal meat inspector.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Ionia.

Surviving is his wife, June; two sons; Kenneth Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla. and 
Brian at home; two daughters, Mrs. Bruce (Kay) Boroff of Ionia and Brenda 
Palmatter of Grand Rapids; six grandchildren; his mother, Electa, of Ionia; 
two sisters, Mrs. Josephine VerPorter and Mrs. George (Margaret) Dean, both 
of Ionia.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1 p.m. at the Ionia First 
Baptist church, with the Rev. Mark Bouchard officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 
7-9- p.m. 

A memorial fund has been established for the Ionia First Baptist Church. 
Contributions may be left at the Leddick Funeral Home.
