Ionia Sentinel Standard, 24 Feb 1966

Mrs. Matie Sherman Malone, former resident of Ionia and widow of John Malone, 
died Saturday in a Detroit nursing home.  She had lived in Ionia and moved to 
Detroit about 30 years ago.  Mr. Malone preceded her in death several years ago.

Mrs. Malone was a member of First Methodist church.

She is survived by a son, Maurice of Detroit; four grandchildren, several great-
grandchildren, and a niece, Mrs. George Thomas of Ionia.

Funeral was Monday with burial at Evergreen cemetery in Detroit.
