Her age was 62, and she had been a long-time resident of the city. Hers is the second death in the immediate family within a fortnight, a brother, Oliver Wedge, passing away on July 4. Besides the husband, she leaves three children to mourn her death: John G., Mrs. Ray Monks, and Bert. She was a woman of distinctly domestic habits, and was well regarded as a neighbor and friend. Funeral on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, attended from the Church of Christ, Rev. G. Webster Moore officiating. Interment in Highland Park. Subsequent Publication: Tuesday, July 15, 1907 The funeral for Mrs. Martin Malone was attended from the Church of Christ this afternoon, there being present a large number of mourning relatives and many neighbors and friends of the family. The scripture lesson and discourse by the Rev. G. Webster Moore were comforting, indeed, and the singing by Mrs. Eugene Smith and Mrs. Thane Benedict, with Mr. Frederick Stiven at the organ, was beautiful. The casket was covered with lovely flowers, a very large piece sent by the employees of the post office being especially handsome. The carriers were Frank Wedge, George Wedge, Walter Harter, and Jesse Holcomb.
