Malone, 23, passed away Friday evening at his home, 246 Narahoe avenue, Detroit. Mr. Malone had been in poor health for a number of years. He spent his boyhood days in Ionia and went to Detroit a few years ago. He is survived by his widow and little son, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Malone, and one brother, Maurice Malone, all of Detroit. The funeral service will be held in Detroit Sunday. The remains will arrive in Ionia Monday on the 1 o’clock Grand Trunk train and Rev. W. F. Kendrick will officiate at the grave service at Highland Park cemetery. Subsequent Publication: Tuesday, September 6, 1927 The remains of Maynard J. Malone, 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Malone, who died at his home, 246 Navahoe avenue, Detroit, Friday evening, were brought to Ionia Monday afternoon and burial services were conducted at the family lot in Highland Park, with Rev. W. F. Kendrick, of the Methodist Episcopal church officiating. Solos were rendered by Mrs. F. S. Howard. Pallbearers were relatives. Funeral services were held at the Detroit home Monday morning in charge of Rev. James Thomas, of the East Jefferson avenue Methodist church. The body was accompanied here by his wife and 16-months-old son, James Martin; his parents and Bert Sherman. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Perry, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sherman, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sherman, all of Battle Creek. Many beautiful flowers accompanied the remains here and upon arrival here others were added. Maynard had spent his boyhood years in Ionia but the past few years he had resided in Detroit.
