George Malone, 71, died in Blodgett Memorial hospital in Grand Rapids Thursday. 
He had made his home in Lyons for several years.

He had been in theatrical and movie business the past few years as a theater 
accountant. His wife, the former Nellie Shoemaker, of Lyons, died a few months 
ago.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Shaw-Rivett funeral home 
in Muir. The Rev. Myron E. Hoyt, pastor of the Lyons Methodist church, 
officiated. Interment was in Muir cemetery.
