Donald was born March 16, 1931, in Leroy, the son of Herbert and Anna Bowcamp unselect Maltman. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He had worked at Federal-Mogul in Greenville, retiring after 38 years of service. Donald was a past member of the Sheridan VFW Post and the United Auto Workers. Donald enjoyed fishing and hunting. Donald was married on March 12, 1955, in Grattan to Thedora Van Ocker and she survives along with their children, David Maltman of Lowell, Raymond and Kathy Maltman of Belding, Patty and Dale Wilson of Greenville, Glen and Lynette Maltman of Belding; and three grandchildren, Gary Maltman, Scott Maltman and Sherry Rose. Don was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Dorothy and Yvonne. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastor Ken Harger of Shiloh Community Church officiating. Interment with full military honors provided by Belding VFW Post 4406 will follow in Rest Haven Memory Gardens. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
