Thedora M. Maltman, 84, of Lowell, formerly of Belding, passed away Wednesday 
morning July 30, 2014 at Spectrum Health- Blodgett Campus in East Grand 
Rapids.  Thedora was born on August 18, 1929 in Lowell, the daughter of 
Theodore and Nina (Compton) VanOcker. 

She enjoyed reading, doing jigsaw puzzles and camping.  Thedora was also an 
avid Detroit Tigers Baseball fan.  She was married on March 12, 1955 in Grattan 
to Donald Eugene Maltman and he preceded her in 2009.  She was also preceded by 
her parents, four brothers; Earl, Marvin, Glen, Ernie and two sisters; Maxine 
and Loretta. 

Thedora is loved and survived by her children; David Maltman of Lowell, Raymond 
and Kathy Maltman of Belding, Patty and Dale Wilson of Greenville, Glen and 
Lynette Maltman of Belding, her grandchildren; Gary and Sarah Maltman, Scott 
Maltman, Sherry Rose, her great grandchildren; Cadence, Adrianna, Chevelle, her 
sister Maryann and Fred Reeves and her sister in law; Rosemary VanOcker, all of 
Belding. 

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Johnson- Feuerstein Funeral Home, 
Belding with Pastor Ken Harger officiating.  Committal prayers will follow in 
Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday 
at the funeral home and one hour before the service on Monday.  Memorials may 
be given to the American Diabetes Association.
